Hello Push Community,
Me and @Anoy are so excited to share our journey as Push Scholars at Devcon 7 and ETHGlobal Bangkok. This experience was full of learning, teamwork, and proud moments. Representing Push Protocol was a big honor for us, and we gave it our all.
What We Built and Achieved
At ETHGlobal Bangkok, we built a project called Delegator’s Union and showcased how it can transform DAO governance. The project was recognized and won 4 prizes:
- Rome Protocol – Best Use of Rome Protocol (2nd Place)
- Push Protocol – Wallet Tracker/Consumer DApp Expansion Challenge
- Protocol Labs (Filecoin Foundation) – Storage & Retrieval (4th Place)
- BlockScout – Big Pool Prize
These achievements showed how impactful and versatile Push Protocol and decentralized technologies are in the blockchain world.
About Our Project: Delegator’s Union
The Delegator’s Union is a decentralized platform that helps small stakeholders in DAOs combine their voting power to make bigger decisions. It tackles common problems like power imbalances, low participation, and fragmented governance.
How It Works
- Pooling Votes: Delegators pool their voting power into a union.
- Collective Voting: The union votes based on the preferences of its members.
- Impact: This ensures that even small stakeholders have a strong voice in DAO governance.
Tech Stack
We used a robust set of technologies to make this project possible:
- Frontend:
- Next.js: For building a fast, SEO-friendly interface.
- Tailwind CSS: For modern and efficient styling.
- Backend:
- Node.js + Express: Handles the backend logic and APIs.
- MongoDB: Stores off-chain data like user preferences.
- Blockchain:
- Solidity: For smart contracts to manage unions and voting.
- Hardhat: For testing and deploying contracts.
- Ethers.js: To interact with the blockchain.
- Hosting & Storage:
- Vercel: Hosts the frontend for fast and reliable performance.
- DigitalOcean: Hosts the backend servers.
- Akave (IPFS): Stores union metadata in a decentralized way.
This project shows how pooling resources and decentralized governance can make DAOs fairer and more inclusive.
Helping the Hackathon Community
The hackathon wasn’t just about our project. We also supported other developers.
- We stayed up all night helping with their questions and guiding them.
- Many teams thanked us for our support and shared how helpful it was for them.
It felt amazing to see how much we contributed to the community, not just with our project but also by helping others.
Meeting the Push Team and Founders
One of the highlights of this journey was meeting the Push Protocol team and founders.
Talking to them in person was inspiring. They were proud of how we represented Push at Devcon and ETHGlobal Bangkok, and their encouragement meant the world to us.
Love from Hackers and Sponsors
Many developers, sponsors, and mentors approached us with appreciation:
- Hackers: Thanked us for our help and guidance.
- Sponsors: Praised our project and our Idea.
These moments made us feel truly valued and proud of being Push Scholars.
Thank You, Push DAO and Push Foundation
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Push DAO and Push Foundation for trusting us with this opportunity.
This experience helped us learn, grow, and connect with the web3 community in ways we never imagined. It showed us how Push Protocol is truly empowering the blockchain space.
Why This Journey Was Special
- We showcased the power of Push Protocol with our project.
- We built strong connections with developers and mentors from around the world.
- We helped the community, inspired others, and gained recognition.
What’s Next
This is just the start. We will continue building, sharing knowledge, and helping the community grow. As we look ahead, we are also exploring opportunities to secure funding through grants, VCs, or project incubators within the Ethereum ecosystem. This includes programs like the Push Grants Program 2025, which can help us take Delegator’s Union to the next level.
