PUSH Weekly Governance Call Recap Thread

Governance call - November 27th, 2024

GM GM Push fam!

This week, we had our weekly Governance call, and our Devcon Scholars shared their fascinating experiences from their visit to Bangkok.

We also had other interesting updates during the call. So here’s a recap in case you missed it.

DAO Council Updates :blue_heart:

Call for PUSH Delegates.

We will be announcing the 5 selected delegates soon on the Push Governance Forum. It was a tough decision, but the DAO council tried their best to pick the most diverse and qualified group of candidates for our first cohort of Push Delegates.

The DAO Council has decided to pause the Push LATAM Ambassador Hub for the month of December; this is in line with the pause of the Push Africa Hub. We are continuing the overhaul of the ambassador programs, which started with the Ambassador Guidelines V1. These changes will make the entire Ambassador program more transparent and well documented.

These pauses are only temporary, and the hubs will continue operating in Q1 2025, with further improved guidelines.

Push Points Program :medal_sports:

The Push Points Program is currently ongoing and is aimed at giving back to the community and devs who have supported Push every step of the way and helped us reach greater heights.

By participating in the points program, you can directly contribute to our growth and empower the Push Protocol vision. There are new reward activities each week, and we encourage you to complete them all.

This week we have a new channel subscription activity, i.e subscribing to a specific Push Channel. All you need to do this week is subscribe to the BTC Price Tracker Channel.

Don’t miss out on the chance to earn Push Points, guys; make sure you earn as many as you can!

Devcon Scholarship Presentation :mailbox_with_no_mail:

@NooberBoy and @Anoy began by thanking Push DAO for the amazing opportunity and sharing how they had a great time on their first international trip to Bangkok, where they met founders from well-known Web3 Projects.

At ETHGlobal Bangkok, Nooberboy and Anoy built a project called Delegator’s Union and showcased how it can transform DAO governance. The project was recognised and won 4 prizes:

  • Rome Protocol: Best Use of Rome Protocol (2nd Place)
  • Push Protocol: Wallet Tracker/Consumer DApp Expansion Challenge
  • Protocol Labs (Filecoin Foundation): Storage & Retrieval (4th Place)
  • BlockScout: Big Pool Prize

You can find a summary of their presentation here.

Push LATAM Ambassador Program V2

We are thrilled to announce the Push LATAM Ambassador Program V2 as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing Ambassador hubs and expanding Push’s impact in various regions. Since its inception, the LATAM hub has been instrumental in fostering notable contributors, ambassadors, and community-led initiatives. To prepare for this upgrade, the hub will undergo a transition period throughout December 2024, during which all activities and payments will be paused. In 2025, we will relaunch with an enhanced program designed to empower LATAM ambassadors to create even greater impact. Stay tuned for updates, and let’s keep PUSHing forward!
