Governance call - January 15th, 2025
GM GM Push fam!
Hope your holidays went well?
Welcome to the first Push Governance call recap of the year!
We’ve got some exciting updates for you, including the launch of Push Chain and insightful ambassador reports.
Here’s your quick TL;DR from this week’s governance call.
DAO Council Updates
The DAO is preparing for the launch of Push Chain; therefore, some of the programs supported by the DAO will be paused indefinitely. This includes the Grants and BD Programs, as well as the Africa and LATAM Ambassador hubs.
All ambassadors are still considered as such and are encouraged to continue to contribute and participate in the ecosystem as we gear up for the Push Chain launch. We have a lot in store for you.
Pending approval from the Push Foundation, we will be announcing new positions in the DAO; these include a Technical Lead, BD & Partnerships Lead, & DAO Scribe (Documentation & Record Keeping). These new positions will assist in supporting the DAO heading towards the launch of Push Chain.
Push Points Program
The Push Points Program is currently ongoing and is aimed at giving back to the community and devs who have supported Push every step of the way and helped us reach greater heights.
By participating in the points program, you can directly contribute to our growth and empower the Push Protocol (now Push Chain) vision.
We currently have a new activity that requires you to link your email and your Telegram. This is a preview of one of the newer features of Push Protocol, which delivers notifications straight to your email inbox or your Telegram DM. Completing this activity will earn you a 1.5x multiplier as well as 25,000 points.
Don’t miss out on the chance to earn Push Points guys; make sure you earn as many as you can!
Forum Outlook
Push Chain Proposal
Push Chain is a shared-state Layer 1 blockchain built to support scalable consumer applications and universal apps. Utilising Proof-of-Stake, it serves as a shared settlement layer across multiple L1s, L2s, and L3s, enabling seamless cross-chain transactions. With gas and wallet abstraction, it simplifies onboarding for web3 users and web2 newcomers alike.
The proposal, penned by Push Founder Harsh Rajat, has already passed, and Push Chain is in active development. There will be follow-up proposals arriving on the forum soon that will provide more details about Push Chain, so we encourage delegates and PUSH holders alike to revisit this proposal in the meantime.
November Report: Push Ambassadors (PM Zealy)
The November 2024 report for Push DAO’s Ambassador Program highlights key achievements and updates. The focus was on maintaining active hubs (India and LATAM), boosting engagement through weekly calls and strategic tasks, and encouraging participation in DAO events like Governance Calls and Demo Thursday.
Task descriptions were clarified, redundant tasks removed, and new initiatives introduced to align with program goals. Significant progress was made in ambassador participation, with 83% of Indian ambassadors actively involved. Performance metrics were reviewed, and feedback sessions with leaders informed updates to the scoring system and task structures. Overall, the usage of Zealy as a task management platform has fostered a more efficient and engaged community.
November & December Report: Push India Ambassadors
In November and December 2024, the Push India Ambassadors focused on creating educational and technical content to promote Push Protocol, emphasising its integration benefits for various projects. They actively participated in governance calls, engaged with the community through X Spaces, and represented Push Protocol at events like EthGlobal Bangkok, securing multiple prizes.
The team maintained a consistent social media presence, managed the Push Protocol India Twitter account, and produced blogs and translated content to expand their reach. Regular sync-up calls were held to ensure alignment and collaboration among ambassadors. Plans for the upcoming period include launching a Medium account for weekly blogs, increasing activity on the Push Protocol India X account, and developing a content calendar to ensure consistent engagement across platforms.
Wolfcito Delegate Thread
Luis Fernando Ushiña, known as “Wolfcito,” is a software developer from Ecuador " with a strong focus on Web3 and blockchain technologies.
He has been actively involved in the Push Protocol community, contributing through workshops, tool development, and governance participation.
As a delegate, he aims to promote inclusive governance by bridging technical and non-technical perspectives, leveraging his experience to enhance decision-making processes. He emphasises the importance of accessible communication, utilising summaries and visual content to make complex technical proposals understandable for all community members. He has already started sharing his voting history, including his support for the "Introducing Push Chain: A Shared State L1 for Universal Apps" proposal.
DAO Events + Community Highlights.
The Introducing Push Chain article is now live on the Push DAO Blog on Mirror. It dives into some of the specifics about the upcoming launch of Push Chain, as well as the different phases of Push Chain development.
We had an X Space immediately after the Governance call to dive deeper into Push Chain, including what led to its development and how the DAO will be evolving to support Push Chain. We were joined by Push DAO Lead, lan Leviness, who will give us more insight into Push Chain.
Finally, we also had an X space with the zkLink team, where we discussed ‘Scaling Beyond Chains’. zkLink is one of the launch partners for Push Chain, and we should expect to see them again in the future.
As usual, we cordially invite you to participate in our next Governance Call.
