How to Write for Push/The Push Landing Page Blog

GM Push Fam,

As you may have noticed, today, an announcement went live stating that anyone can now write for Push’s main blog.

With that being said, you’ll find the full process and guidelines for submission below!

What can I write?

We’ll regularly post a public list of approved macro-level topics here. That list serves as your guide for the general ideas you can choose as subjects, from which you then need to select the title of your proposed article(the specific subject of your proposed article).

How do I submit something for publication?

After you do the above, you join the submissions channel on Telegram, which is accessible here. In that channel, tag either Ian whose ID is @Expatcrypto3 or Zaryab whose ID is @zaryab2000.

We will then review your submission with the help of @NooberBoy @wolfcito @christiandike and @SixtyKeys.

How long should an article be?

Submissions should never be longer than 1200 words or shorter than 750 words. If you need a formatting guide, see past articles on the Push landing page blog.

What other formatting rules should I follow?

Generally, sub-titles should be H2s and the main title of the blog should be an H1. Again, however, it’s best to follow the formatting of past posts on the blog, as linked above.

Submissions can be done via linked Google docs, which should allow anyone to be editors or public Notion pages.

How long are submissions reviewed?

4 op/eds are published on the Push landing page per month, both from the foundation team and from the community. This means that no more than 4 total will be published for month. Because of this, review periods can vary but in general, reviewing takes 5-14 days depending on the editorial backlog.

Is my name included in the article if it is approved and posted?

Yes. You will have a by-line, such as John Smith, Push Grantee.

Are there any other rules for posts?

Yes, you can’t shill your own projects. They can be mentioned if they apply to the topic but not in the way a marketer would drive traffic to something or in the way someone would attempt to sell you on something. The editorial team is experience with finding these instances.

Finally, no submission is final/approved until Zaryab, Ian, or both have signed off on it as final editors.

When can I start submitting?

Submissions can begin after 5pm EST, Wednesday August 21st, 2024.

What’s the purpose of these guest posts?

We’re excited to take the greater Push ecosystem one step further down our path to progressive decentralization. In this case, this will show that we’re community to raising up all voices in our community. We’re pumped to see what you’ll write about!

I fully support the plurality of voices, this proposal attest that Push is striving for greater decentralization by and for its community.

As DAO Ecosystem Lead, recognizing the potential for ambassadors to elevate this initiative, and thinking about inclusive and diverse in our DAO I would love to see a woman’s perspective and/or an Africa ambassador included in the editorial line of article review.

Additionally, knowing that ambassadors have an incredible potential to write as Push technology advocates and contributors to the ecosystem, I call on them to find in the Push blog one more space to express themselves and develop their skills.

Super excited to see what the community is preparing!

Of course, I’m here to fully support the review of submissions with the team :fire:

Keep pushing! :rocket:
