Push Report for August, 2024.

Strategy

Goal: Promote Push Protocol across all platforms; a means to onboard new users to Push Protocol.

How to achieve it?

  • We used a social media strategy of pushing Push Protocol and its products via tweets on X, Medium and other social media platforms.
  • Organize and participate in real life meetups and events.
  • Be constant and interactive with Push protocol community on discord and the Push DAO
  • Creating and managing Push channel
  • Use YouTube to onboard more users.

IRL EVENTS

We could not host or participate in any real life event in the month of August but we have plans to feature Push Protocol in major conferences and meetups in the month of September.

Medium Posts

We still do not have a medium page because we don’t want to restrict the creativity of our ambassadors to certain topics. We give them liberty to write articles and share to their social media network. Here are the articles received for the month;

Twitter

We hosted a Twitter Space

Promotion of Push Chat, Push Alpha group by Ambassadors on Twitter via shilling, educative threads, infographics with an impression of about 6,000 views on Twitter.

KPI For Next Month

  • Grow the Push Africa Twitter Account by at least 20 new followers
  • Increase attendees on our bi-weekly Space “Let’s Chat Push”
  • Increase Overall Twitter impression by putting out more posts aimed at promoting Push protocol brand and its products.

YouTube

One of our Ambassadors created a video and posted it on YouTube.

The KPI remains the same. We hope to make more progress this month.

KPI For Next Month

  • Host Short sessions on YouTube Live not longer than 30 minutes to onboard at least 20 people per month. The Live sessions will be recorded and available later for those who missed it.
  • Grow the Channel to at least 50 subscribers by the end of September, 2024.

Reddit

The Reddit situation remains unresolved, with another account getting banned this month, it seems to be related to the IP address. The Ambassador in charge is working to securing a new account that should bypass the IP ban.

Discord

Goal: Foster Engagements and communication on the Push Protocol Discord community and Keep discussions going.

Content Creation:

  • Created 92 quality posts on 4chan, engaging with the community on Push Protocol and other relevant crypto topics.
  • Engaged in 39 discussions on Discord, providing valuable insights and encouraging community interaction.

Summary:

This month has been fruitful in enhancing our presence and interaction within the crypto community. The response has been favorable, with other users discussing Push Protocol in their threads, especially when talking about web3.

Conclusion:

The feedback from the community was quite negative. A few people complained about the project not making much progress, but it’s understandable that the crypto market is still down. Though, there are also some who are still hopeful.

I’m glad to see the progress of all the Africa ambassadors :seedling:
As we’ve discussed in meetings, we are taking steps to ensure you all are rewarded based on the quality of your contributions, including the contributions of hub leads, which should be included in upcoming reports.

A few recommendations I’d like to add:

  1. It could be highly impactful to internally choose a community manager who can strategize for social media and help with posts planning.
  2. I also see value in creating accounts under the name “Push Africa” on Medium and YouTube initially, given the great reach you’ve achieved with the community Twitter account. Joining efforts so that each ambassador can amplify their content on these accounts and individually can increase your audience.
  3. Based on the KPIs for next month, I’d like some clarification on the August KPIs:
    3.1. How did the Twitter follower base grow?
    3.2. What was the total audience engagement for “Let’s Chat Push”?
    3.3. Is there a record of the discussions in the Push Protocol Discord where the ambassadors participated?

In future reports, it would be helpful to know which ambassadors are active on Discord, the types of discussions they engage in, and whether we can create a link with our Push moderators so ambassadors can address community questions with moderator support. Otherwise, if we’re not measuring it, contributions won’t be visible.

I’m also pleased to inform you all that activities such as participation in DAO events, participation in discussions in our forum, and voting will now count as contributions for all ambassador hubs. We trust on your commitment and participation as key contributors to the Push Protocol ecosystem.

Hello @Carlaupgrade following up on your questions
3.1 We had 40+ new followers on the African Twitter (X) account
3.2 There were 20+ persons on the space before it got rugged due to network
3.3 Yes, there is, also it note worthy that one of the ambassadors got named Push Chad last month cos of her contribution in discord
