Project Description
GrantStream is at the forefront of connecting Web3 developers with grant opportunities, having already facilitated $60k in grant allocations to Web3 games through the Arbitrum DAO. Our MVP, set to launch in late April, will introduce essential marketplace functionalities, with a strategic plan to integrate Push Protocol’s features to enhance user engagement and communication.
Value Proposition to Push Protocol
GrantStream presents a unique threefold value proposition to the Push Protocol community:
- Accelerating the integration of Push into our platform, showcasing Push’s capabilities to a broader audience.
- Offering Push Protocol access to a curated pool of talented builders with proven on-chain reputations, enhancing the diversity and quality of projects within the Push ecosystem.
- We are driving the adoption of Push Protocol’s technology stack through our extensive network of Web3 developers and protocols.
Funding Requested:
USD Amount - 20k $USD (64,516 $PUSH)
Milestones
Our project is structured around four critical milestones, each allocated $5k in $PUSH tokens, to fully integrate Push Protocol’s functionalities into our platform:
[Milestone 1] Provide support via chat
[FEATURE TO BUILD] Users can connect their wallets to be able to get support via chat.
-
Currently, Push protocol supports
Ethereum
,Polygon
, and recentlyBNB
chain, but Push’s developers on Discord have indicated that we can indeed send messages on other chains (anyL1
orEVM
compatibleL2
chains, i.e. the protocol is chain agnostic (requires additional testing). -
The initial connection can be via any network. For MVP, we’ll most likely restrict it to only a few supported chains or networks. When chatting, we’ll prompt the user to switch to the network relevant to the grant.
-
Support wallet address can be dynamically switched based on the time the user tries to connect, i.e. if we have a pool of support staff, we can select one based on time zone.
-
We can program pre-loaded hello messages to indicate that no one is available to provide support at the moment (possibly due to after-office hours). Still, they can continue to send the message and we’ll get back to them as soon as possible.
-
Chat history is always available, so there will be a bit of familiarity in subsequent chats.
[Milestone 2] General opt-in notifications
-
[FEATURE TO BUILD] Support staff will receive notifications when someone initiates a chat session for support.
-
[FEATURE TO BUILD] All users will receive generic (opt-in) notifications, such as updates, features, marketing, etc.
-
Notifications can be broadcasted to everyone, or can also be targeted towards a specific subset of users or wallets (if they have opted-in).
-
Wallet opt-ins and notifications are gasless, so all they require is a signature, no wallet permissions/transactions need to be approved.
-
We can configure different categories of notifications such as updates, marketing, etc. Users can choose the ones they want to opt-in for.
-
We can build our MVP as a Progressive Web App so users will be able to install it on their desktop or phone. While it’s not the same as releasing an iOS or Android app, this hybrid approach will still give us access to some device native features such as being able to send push notifications directly to the device (requires additional testing).
-
Users can also install a plugin to be able to directly receive their notification to their wallet provider, e.g.
MetaMask
(requires additional testing).
[Milestone 3] General opt-in notifications
[FEATURE TO BUILD] Notify grant providers with a list of quality, matched applications containing detailed breakdowns and ratings (generated by the A.I.)
[FEATURE TO BUILD] Notify grant applicants when their application has been sent, viewed, or approved (and anything else in between).
The above two are just the basic use cases, we’ll add more to the list, as and when they become available, e.g. option to notify providers once a milestone has been completed, or reviewed, and the option to notify applicants once funds are ready to be released.
[Milestone 4] Provider-applicant private chat
[FEATURE TO BUILD] Grant providers can directly chat with applicants to get additional information, review the application or a specific milestone, etc.
Providers and applicants can chat back and forth at any time without any limits applied. The initial chat however needs to be initiated by the provider. All chat interfaces would also be upgraded to support text (including emojis), images, and media.
[NOT AVAILABLE FOR MVP] At the moment chats can only be initiated between two wallets and not a group of wallets (i.e. no group chat). This feature is however in Push protocol’s pipeline, so we might add it at a later date when the SDK is updated with it.
What is your legal status?
The project is not incorporated yet but will protect funds with a 3 of 5 multi-sig wallet.

Which use cases are you going to implement with Push?
Wallet-connected support chat, facilitating immediate assistance for users
Enabling notifications for protocol support staff when builders initiate chat sessions.
Personalized notifications, automatic notification to grant programs, with highly likely fit applications. Provide transparency when a grant requestor’s application has been sent, viewed, approved, or denied.
Launch private and direct chat functionality for grant requestors and providers.
Exploration of Push Video, and ability to host in-app interviews with grant applicants.
Does your project already have users or is it in the building phase?
We have manually coordinated 9 applications to the Arbitrum DAO, with 4 approved worth ~60k USD in grant funds in Dec. 2023, and January 2024. (More will likely be approved once the grant program is re-funded).

*This was our MVP, and now we’re building our product based on proven demand.
GrantStream was also born out of our Web3 gaming Founder community, the Gaming Startup Collective, which has 115 bootstrapped founders. Many of whom, will likely become GrantStream, early adopters.
Conclusion
GrantStream is poised to enhance the Push Protocol ecosystem significantly, bringing innovative solutions and a vibrant community of builders to the forefront. Our integration with Push Protocol will showcase the versatility and potential of Push’s technology and pave the way for a new era of collaboration and innovation in the Web3 space.
