This week we continue to discuss about BizDev subDAO, PGP v3, new allies, and we are pleased to hear about more Push frens and collaboration opportunities.

Business Development SubDAO
The Business Development SubDAO proposal continues on the forum. Available in English and Spanish.
The goal of the BizDev SubDAO is to facilitate 31 new collaborations / integrations with Push Protocol.
The Spanish community has asked to consider projects with a smaller number of followers compared to the initial tiered proposal.

Push Grants Program v3
The Push team is working on updating the Push Snapshot space to ensure fair governance to all Push holders. The Grants Council voting continues pending for the right technical solution to stakers voting. New updates are expected later this week.
In progress there’s a new framework for the Grants process in the meantime, your suggestions and comments are welcome.

Push Channel of the Week
The Push Channel of the Week is the Crypto Jobs List.

We welcomed Jose Cabrera who was talking to us about his project Metagame.
Metagame is any approach to a game that transcends or operates outside of the prescribed rules of the game, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game.
Metagame produces content, organizes events, puts the puzzle, and brings aligned people together.
We can’t wait to hear about Metagame’s plans in the Push ecosystem.

Business Development SubDAO
The Business Development SubDAO proposal continues on the forum. Available in English and Spanish.
With this program, Push aims to motivate contributors by offering them rewards, including Push ambassadors who have a multiplier factor in this program.
A Business Development working group will facilitate the operation of the subDAO.

Push Grants Program v3
The DAO decided to hold its own test vote before holding the final Grants Council vote. That’s why Push v2 staking was live on the Push Snapshot, a test proposal to ensure everything is working as it should.
We should be able to run the Grants Council election as soon as possible once we have verified that Snapshot is working through a community test.

Push Channel of the Week
The Push Channel of the Week is Eth Gas Price Tracker.
Want to execute transactions but afraid of fluctuating Gas prices?
In the words of the community, this is a channel that is really needed.

We are working on a roadmap for Push DAO, this will highlight how different programs and SubDAOs will work together to bring the most value to the DAO.
Push fam have an awesome initiative to collect ideas from the community for Push DAO 2024 on a slide, so we read you here.
Your answers will be used to further inform the Push DAO strategy.

Push is for the world. This year we want to incorporate new communities from all over the world and the content strategy we are designing initially seeks to prioritize content in English and Spanish on all platforms.

The usual summary of Push Protocol and its governance initiatives has arrived. Let’s start with what we discussed on this week’s governance call.

Business Development SubDAO update
The Business Development SubDAO proposal continues on the forum. Available in English and Spanish.
This discussion focused, among other topics, on the Push Protocol opportunity to keep the track in the public good ecosystem, organic growth of the projects, and timeframes to examine if implementations are successful. But you can still participate in the conversation.
With this program, Push aims to motivate contributors by offering them rewards, including Push ambassadors who have a multiplier factor in this program.

Push Grants Program v3
The DAO decided to hold its own test vote before holding the final Grants Council vote.
The Grants Council vote can now happen any time the contributors agree to have it.
We should be able to run the Grants Council election as soon as possible once we have verified that Snapshot is working through a community test.

Push DAO plans for 2024
We are working out in the finer points of the Push DAO budget and we will share a timeline for finalization within the next week.
Push fam have an awesome initiative to collect ideas from the community for Push DAO 2024 on a slide, so we read you here. Your answers will be used to further inform the Push DAO strategy.
This week our community has been looking forward to the possibility of seeing a delegate program again at Push.
The proposed 12 month content strategy is moving into final stages. All contributors will be running DAO content depending on their interests and we will speak about it next week during the call.

Push DAO Ambassadors Program
We talked about the brilliant efforts of the ambassador programs and how they have taken brand awareness to another level in India, Africa and LATAM.
Push en Español community is strong and constructive, and has added 2 new ambassadors this week. We will be formalizing the announcement in the coming days.

Governance Call - 11th April 2024 (Cancelled)

Our usual weekly governance call has been canceled this week to make way for an AMA with Berachain on Twitter, listen to the AMA here!

Updates

Here are some high-level updates for this week to keep the community up to speed

1. Push DAO Budget
The budget is in its final stages and should be fully finalized this week. Once that’s done, the Grants and BD subDAOs can fully kick-off. DAO contributors will draft a suggested template for tracking of fund usage within the DAO. We will then use this template for 3, 6, and 12 month reports on performance and budget usage.

2. Push Grants Program V3
Push Contributors will schedule and hold a final vote for the Grants Council as soon as possible, regardless of when the budget is finalized because the technical hurdles related to voting have been fixed. A formal announcement will be made once said vote is live.

3. Immediate Priorities for the DAO
For April, the mission-critical DAO items include:

What would we suggest as changes to make the Push Grants process easier?

What would we suggest for a revamp and new pilot of Push Improvement Proposals this year?

New Notion pages describing the processes of both will go live at the end of the month (April) and the contributors should have input on what those processes include and what they do not include. Questions for contributors to ask include: What needs to be easier for Push Grants to scale even further? and What do we need to allow for this year for PIPs aka what can be a PIP and what can wait until later/be rolled out later?

The two initiatives above are critical because the ways we improve them show Push DAO’s vision for the greater Push ecosystem and prove how intentional we can be with all rollouts related to Push ecosystem growth.

4. Push SubDAOs KPIs
Each SubDAO will need to fully set processes for how KPIs are achieved aka, show a road for “how to get there,” for each KPI. These roads need to be included in KPI tracking docs for both subDAOs. This will help us prove what we can do this year and going forward and achieve more and more independence as Push DAO.

Governance Call - 17th April 2024

Special kick-off days, revamp and improvement process, and special guests. Find out everything that happened in our Governance Call with this summary, Push fam.

Special Guest - Mahesh from Karma
Mahesh is building Karma HQ, an integrated DAO toolkit to measure contributions and enhance governance.
Karma GAP is currently being used by Arbitrum, Gitcoin, Optimism, and more.
The Grantee Accountability Protocol (GAP) is designed to help grantees in building their reputation, assisting communities in maintaining grantee accountability, and enabling third parties to develop applications using this protocol.

For Grantees Karma GAP allow:

• Self report on grant progress
• Build reputation
• Receive more funding

For Community + Grant admins Karma GAP allow:

• Stay up-to-date on project progress
• Trigger payments based on milestone completion
• Endorse projects, monitor fund usage and flag discrepancies.

Very helpful presentation by Mahesh about how Karma is used to onboard contributors, track their contributions, and increase accountability.

Push DAO Updates for 2024 - 2025
The Push DAO Budget for the 12 months (May 2024 - May 2025) has been finalized. This budget will be used to conduct DAO and subDAO operations.
Ian, DAO Lead, is now a Snapshot mod. And the DAO will try to schedule the Grants Council vote as soon as possible, after that Push v2 staking has been added and all Push holders will be able to vote.
We can’t wait the Grants Council Election happen. Paving the way for a more transparent and fairer DAO.
The Grants process is being revamped. Of course, an update on the new process will be shared with the community once completed.
Push DAO contributors have officially kicked off 2024 DAO efforts this week. Our doors are open to contributions, developers and builders of the Push fam.
Governance v2 is currently being worked on. This included Push Improvement Proposal process and defining what can and and cannot be proposed for the next 6 months.
Push Ambassadors Program is improve with a view to launching more ambassador hubs this year.
Push DAO content strategy v1 has been completed including written content, blog posts, long-form Twitter post, a newsletter, podcast appearances and more.

Push Channel of the Week
Our channel of the week is ENS Domains.

Governance Call - 24th April 2024

This week we share super important news for the Push DAO in the interest of achieving greater progressive decentralization, you can’t miss this summary of the weekly Governance Call.

Push Grants Program v3
The Grants Council election is live now on the Push Snapshot space. Active for 4 days (24 April - 27 April) until 5pm UTC.
The Council will operate for 3 months. And comprises 3 individuals, with one seat occupied by a Push team member in an observer/evaluator role.
This team member is Ian, DAO Lead, and the other two members (Push Grants Lead and Grant Evaluator) all who are responsible for making decisions.
5 self nominated candidates will be running for 2 seats on the Grants Council.
To ensure a fair vote, the vote will be weighted meaning voter will be able to assign different weights to as many candidates as they want.
All individuals who have delegated their $Push tokens to themselves or others before to the block happen can vote.
Go to Snapshot now and participate in our commitment to a DAO with more progressive decentralization.

Business Development subDAO
The Business Development subDAO proposal is also live on Snapshot space. Active for 4 days (24 April - 27 April) until 5pm UTC as well.
This proposal will be a community run program that will enable contributors to engage in business development activities for Push Protocol by offering rewards that very according to the project size and other characteristics.
The classification of project size will depend on the number of X/Twitter followers and the level of Discord activity.

Contributors will be rewarded based on collaborative efforts with any of the different project tiers as defined below:

Push Ambassadors are eligible for a 1.2x multiplier on top of their rewards for completing both phases.

Push DAO Updates
Push DAO v2 officially kick off on May 1st, stay tuned for a proper announcement.
The Push DAO budget for the next 12 months has been finalized. This budget will be used to conduct DAO and subDAO Operations for the next 12 months (May 2024 - May 2025).
We will be running 2 subDAOs for the first 3 months of Push DAO v2. The Grants subDAO and the Business Development subDAO.
We are also revamping Push Governance, we have refined and simplified the Governance process to make it clear and more accessible to everyone.
Push DAO and subDAOs will run its operations on Charmverse moving forward, we are finalizing our Charmverse space and we will share it with the community.
The Grants Process is also being revamped, we are looking to making way more accessible for the Grants Council and Grantees. An update on the new process will be shared with the community once completed.
We are working on the Push DAO content strategy, we will be doing written content, blog posts, long-form Twitter posts, a newsletter, podcast appearances and more.

Governance Call - 1st May 2024

This week marks the first step of our three year march to the decentralization of the Push ecosystem.

You can read this summary of our Governance Call and find out in a few minutes what we are building together. Let’s start!

How to participate in Push Governance
Any community member or contributor can create a proposal on the Push forum, and any proposal that passes all of the needed phases may be brought to a vote. You can view a full breakdown of the Push Improvement Proposal process here.

Votes begin as ideas, which then become proposals. An idea is suggested on the forum and discussed for a minimum of a week unless it is proven that we have a timeline that requires a tighter discussion period. Votes can only be fast-tracked by a 4/5 consensus reached by the Push DAO Council.

The quorum for all Push DAO votes is defined as 1% of the circulating supply of $PUSH tokens. When votes do not achieve a quorum, they are rescheduled for a second round upon request by the author. This rule will be altered as the community sees fit as the DAO scales.

Any PUSH token holder with an interest in being involved in the present and future of the ecosystem’s governance can choose to “Delegate to myself” to have the ability to vote, or “Delegate to others” to another wallet or community member who participates in Push Governance through the DAO.

Grants Council and BD subDAO vote
We held two Snapshot votes last week for the Grants Council election and BD subDAO. Unfortunately these votes did not pass do to being unable to reach a quorum (not 1% PUSH tokens circulating voted).

The DAO has decided to schedule these voting for Thursday, May 2.

The Grants Council election and Business Development subDAO are live now on the Push Snapshot space. Active for 4 days (2 May - 5 May) until 1pm UTC.

For the Grants Council 5 self nominated candidates will be running for 2 seats. Their council will operate for 3 months. And comprises 3 individuals, with one seat occupied by a Push team member in an observer/evaluator role.

For Business Development subDAO the proposal will be a community run program that will enable contributors to engage in business development activities for Push Protocol by offering rewards that very according to the project size and other characteristics.

The classification of project size in Business Development subDAO will depend on the number of X/Twitter followers and the level of Discord activity.

Push Governance v2
In this current iteration of Push DAO (aka Push Governance v2), there are only two types of PIPs that can be made: Governance and Ecosystem PIPs.

• Governance PIPs are those that propose changes or improvements to Push DAO. This includes proposals concerning the Push DAO constitution, subDAOs, governance processes, changes to PIPs, etc.
• Ecosystem PIPs are those that propose non-technical changes or improvements to the Push ecosystem. This includes proposals concerning the Push Ambassador Program, provision of general guidelines or information to the community, community development initiatives, etc.

A PIP goes through five phases from inception to conclusion:
Phase-1: Forum Discussion

Phase-2: PIP Formalization

Phase-3: PIP Temperature Check

Phase-4: Snapshot Vote

Phase-5: Implementation

Push DAO v2
While Push DAO has existed for some time, we plan to take Push DAO to the next level. This will be done by launching multiple DAO programs throughout the year. We have already worked hard setting up the Push Grants Program v3 and the Business Development SubDAO.

However, the DAO will need an all-star team to direct and execute the vision for Push DAO V2 to achieve these goals. Therefore, we are proposing a Push DAO Council, which will be directly responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the DAO for the next 12 months (May 2024 - May 2025). The Push DAO Council will be composed of 5 contributors from Push DAO who have shown a passion for developing the success of Push DAO:

Push DAO Operations Lead - SixtyKeys
Push Ecosystem Lead - Carlaupgrade
Push Growth Lead - Christiandike
Push Marketing Lead - Rene

The DAO Council will lead the way in governing the DAO; this will include transparent block voting with the community.

Push DAO Content Strategy
Part of the responsibilities of Push DAO v2 is creating new content for the DAO. We will be doing this on a recurring schedule. Content will include op-eds, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, Twitter Spaces, and more.

Push DAO v2 is live
The Push DAO v2 passed a Snapshot vote last week, this means the DAO Council is now official and has started operations. Celebrate with us!

For the next 12 months the Push DAO Council will play an important role in shaping the direction of Push DAO. Each member will be directly responsible for a different DAO vertical, ensuring success in the overall DAO.

The DAO Council is also deep at work in what we are calling #BUILD week. We are spending this first week scoping out the new Push Grants, Business Development and Ambassador Programs.

The DAO Council will be accountable to the DAO via completing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) highlighted in the Push DAO v2 proposal.

Push DAO Council KPIs for May 2024
The start of Push DAO v2 operations comes with a lot of decentralization and transparency. Therefore, we are pleased to publish the KPIs for our first month of operation:

• Secure 1 partnership
• Publish 1 Op/Ed
• Publish 1 blog post (The $PUSH token and its role in the Push DAO.)
• Publish 1 issue of the DAO Newsletter (End of May)
• Source 1 Lead who may integrate with Push Protocol
• Create 3 new discussions/topics on the Push Governance Forum
• Hold 2 more Snapshot votes
• Increase voter participation from an average of 7 to 8
• Source 2 grantees for the Push Grants Launch on June 3rd
• Grow Social following on Twitter by 5% (+35 followers)

How participate in Push Governance?
Participation in Push Governance starts through the process of Proposal Creation.

The recent Push Governance v2 documents thoroughly explains the proposal creation process which you can refer to at any time.

All community members are welcome and encouraged to participate in Push Governance via the Push Governance Forum. All you need to get started is to share your thoughts via a discussion post.

After you post the initial discussion, the community will give you feedback on your idea and you can choose to continue to formal proposal creation depending on community sentiment.

If you are more interested in participate in Push Governance, then voting is for you. $PUSH token delegation allows you to have a say in completed proposals that reach the Snapshot voting stage.

Our Push Governance Processes document explains the how, why and when we vote. The first step in the voting process is owning the PUSH governance token.

You can acquire $PUSH tokens on centralized exchanges (MEXC, Gate.io) and decentralized exchanges (CoW Swap, Uniswap).
Once you hold $PUSH tokens in your EVM wallet, you can activate PUSH voting power by delegating to yourself or someone else on the Push dApp.

Push Grants Program + Business Development SubDAO
The Push Grants Program and the BD SubDAO both passed their final votes on Snapshot last week.

The new Grants Council members will be Rene who will serve as the Grants Lead, and Sixty who will serve as the Grants Evaluator. The Grants Council will also be joined by lan (Push DAO Governance Lead) as an observer/evaluator from the Push Foundation.

The workings of both SubDAOs/Programs are being worked on as we speak and we will give the community updates on the progress + specifications on how each will work in the coming weeks.

The new Grants Program and the BD SubDAO will both launch starting June 3rd, however we will do our best to accommodate applicants beforehand.

Push DAO Compensation Vote
The aim of this proposal is to determine the specifics of the compensation of DAO Contributors including the DAO Council.

The Push Governance / DAO Lead, lan will determine a fixed rate for contributor payments each quarter. This is currently set at $0.27 per PUSH, meaning regardless of the PUSH price, contributors will be paid at a fixed rate and not a variable rate.

This way we encourage PUSH contributors to undertake activities that will lead to an appreciation in the PUSH token price. This will also allow the DAO Council to effectively determine the runway for the DAO.

The Budgetary Working Group will aim to pay contributors on the same day each month with the exception of Grantees who should receive payments immediately.

Push Channel of the Week
Our Channel of the Week is ETH Tracker. The ETH Tracker tracks the highs and lows of ETH so that you don’t have to. Get updates every 6 hours on what the price of ETH is.

Opt-in to the ETH Tracker to receive instant Push Notifications on ETH Price Movement Alerts. You can customize your notification preferences by setting ranges for:

• ETH Price Range Threshold in %
• Price alert notification frequency

Are you aware of what is happening in Push DAO v2? What better than this summary to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

DAO Council Update
There is a new proposal on the forum (Addendums to Push DAO
Council). This proposal brings additions to the Push DAO v2 + DAO Council vote from last week.

Exciting news for Push Ambassadors. The DAO Council has heard your concerns and your desire to be more involved in the Push ecosystem. We will unveil new updates to the program under the DAO before June 1st, so stay tuned.

The DAO Council is hard at work making sure all the programs we have planned live up to a high standard, the new Grants program and the BD subDAO will officially launch on June 3rd. However, on the call we were sharing a preview of the progress on these programs and how to upload proposals in the new workflow.

The Council will always be accountable to the community by completing KPIs which were highlighted in the Push DAO v2.

Push DAO Council KPIs for May 2024
The operation has not stopped, we are focused on achieving the KPIs that we set for May:

• Secure 1 partnership
• Publish 1 Op/Ed
• Publish 1 blog Post (The $PUSH token and its role in the Push DAO.)
• Publish 1 issue of the DAO Newsletter (End of May)
• Source 1 Lead who may integrate with Push Protocol
• Create 3 new discussions/topics on the Push Governance Forum
• Hold 2 more Snapshot votes
• Increase voter participation from an average of 7 to 8
• Source 2 grantees for the Push Grants Launch on June 3rd
• Grow Social following on Twitter by 5% (+35 followers)

Push Grants Program + Business Development SubDAO
The Push Grants Program and the BD SubDAO are both set to launch in June, specifically starting June 3rd, the community will be able to participate in both programs.

The new Grants Council will be led by @Rene and @SixtyKeys. We will also be joined by @EC3 (DAO Lead) as an observer/evaluator from the Push Foundation.

The Grants Program will be completely open and transparent, meaning that grantees and the community will be able to follow along the process from start to finish.

The BD SubDAO will be very similar, allowing any community member to participate. There will be multiple phases: onboarding, application, approval, support etc.

Upcoming vote
The Addendums to the Push DAO Council, is the only upcoming vote on the forum right now. The aim of this proposal is to determine the specifics of the compensation of DO Contributors including the DAO Council.

The vote has been slightly delayed to due determining whether there was any conflict of interest between the roles @Carlaupgrade serves on the Push Foundation and the DAO Council. This has been cleared now and she will be free to continue as a full-time DAO Council member.

New additions have also been made to the proposal including how to remove DAO Council members if they act in a misaligned or malicious manner, and to specify the terms of which DAO Council members can receive compensation from SubDAOs.

Push Channel of the Week
Our Channel of the Week is Rekt News.

Rekt News is a media channel dedicated to the dark side of web3. The channel focuses on journalism around all the latest rugs, scams, and exploits in the web3 space. The style of writing and narration really stands out and they dive deep into a side of web3 that is only covered on the surface.

Rekt News allows you to stay up to date on all the rugs and exploits in web3 so you don’t have to, you can consider it an alert channel.

Community Highlights
Our Push DAO Lead (@EC3) appeared on a Twitter Spaces with Dexe Network. The topic was Repeatable Business Models, and he was on a panel with multiple guests. You can listen to the recording on Twitter.

@SixtyKeys, Operations Lead of the DAO Council was be part of a panel by DAO Spring. The panel was discussing how to Get that $ and become sustainable.

Push Nodes is launching soon, and it will be one of the biggest moments for Push Protocol in recent years. @NooberBoy has written a super informative thread about Push Nodes, we encourage everyone to like and share.
