Special guest - Kara Howard from Si3

• We met with Kara @karakrysthal who is a member of the Si3 collective. Si3 is a global collective of women and non-binary web3 founders, executives, developers, creatives and community leaders. Si3 will be submitting a grant proposal to Push DAO for a Push Chat integration into their website and the web3 website templates they offer their members.
• Kara also has a background in marketing and she shared several ideas to the community on marketing and growth initiatives that we can leverage to attract more contributors, grow our user base and foster partnerships.

DAO Council Updates

• Our DAO Lead @EC3 represented Push Protocol and Push DAO at Consensus 2024 all week. He was on several panels, putting Push Protocol in the spotlight and engaging with potential partners and collaborators. We will be providing more updates (and media) about all his activities in the following days. Thanks for the hard work @EC3!
• New changes have been made to the Push Ambassador programs. All Ambassador Hubs will now be working with a unified set of KPIs and OKRs which will provide clear guidelines and set clear expectations from Push Ambassadors. This will ensure growth, transparency, and help us measure the performance of our Ambassador Hubs.
• The DAO Council provided updates on their KPIs for May 2024 - they hit most of their milestones and aim to do more in June with the launch of the Grants and BD subDAOs.

Push DAO Program Updates

• Push Grants Program v3 and the BD SubDAO are finally set to launch next week on June 3rd. We’re calling on participation from all community members.
• The Grants program will be primarily led by @Rene and @Sixtykeys with support from @EC3. The Grants process will be made swift and seamless for grantees.
• Similarly, there will be multiple phases to help the community participate in the BD SubDAO, such as onboarding, application, approval, support, etc.

Forum Highlights

• Pre-PIP #1: Bringing Frames (Interactive Mini Apps) to Push Network - the Push Foundation seeks to bring Frames support to Push dApps. This update will bring a better UX, developers and increased engagement to Push. The temp-check vote was successfully passed.
• Pre-PIP #2: Reactions - the Foundation plans to support reactions on Push Chat. This provides more interactivity and allows users to participate in discussions without having to type a reply. Learn more about the proposal and participate in the temp-check vote here.

Push Channel of the Week (PCOW)

• The PCOW highlights a highly active and consistent channel each week, to bring them more visibility to users.
• The PCOW for this week is PWN, a peer-to-peer lending protocol providing liquidity avenues, composability options, leverage opportunities, and efficient lending structures to users.
• The PWN channel provides regular Push Notifications to users of PWN about loan updates directly in their wallets. Opt-in to the PWN Channel and never miss a loan due date.

• Our DAO Operations Lead @Sixtykeys appeared on a Twitter spaces with Dexe Network and spoke about Fundraising in Web3. Listen to the recording on Twitter

If you’ve been closely following our announcements, you would know that this was a week of highly anticipated launches.
Join us as we recap what happened in our latest governance call

DAO Council Updates
The Business Development and Grant Programs are officially live on the Push DAO Charmverse.
We managed to hit 70% of the KPIs we set out to achieve in May.
We will double down our efforts on the KPIs we did not manage to hit in June.
We published our very first Push DAO blog post on Monday. The inaugural post is called DAOifying Comms, and we will be posting more frequently on the blog.
The Push DAO calendar is also ready, we will share it with everyone next week.

Push Grants Program + BD subDAO
The Push Grants Program and the BD subDAO are now both live and accepting applicants. The announcements have been slightly delayed but anyone can apply on our Charmverse.

The Grants program currently covers social dApps, gaming dapps, mobile dapps, community initiatives, DAOs, DeFi protocols, education and publications/news. We particularly prioritize compelling social dapps, gaming dapps, mobile dapps, and female and diverse founders.

Forum Outlook
[Discussion] Push DAO Onboarding Program
This proposal seeks to establish an onboarding program for new members of Push DAO with the aim of turning them into active contributors as quickly as possible.

Pre-PIP #2: Reactions
The Push Foundation implemented support for reacting to messages in the Push Chat dapp. Chat and reactions go hand in hand.
Allowing users to participate in a chat discussion without having to type a reply.

Community Highlights
Two members of the DAO COuncil appeared on a Twitter Spaces with Dexe Network this week. The topic was Solving DAO sustainability.
Also we had an X Space with the Push Africa
Ambassador Hub. All DAO Council members were present and speaking about the new Push DAO Programs.
Our first Push DAO Verse blog post is live on Mirror, so please go and subscribe to receive the latest Push DAO content when it drops. You can also collect each post as an NFT.

In the Q&A session, we answered a question from @GozmanGonzalez4 about how to join the ambassador program in Africa. We explained that the ambassador program is also undergoing changes; all ambassador hubs will operate in 3-month seasons and will open positions based on their needs. However, there are many opportunities to contribute to Push DAO today, and the most optimal path is to start as a contributor in the DAO and then scale to an ambassador.

Our Push DAO Growth Lead appeared and spoke at the Lagos Blockchain Week. He was speaking about Driving interoperability through cross-chain communications on Push Protocol.

The founder of Push Protocol, Harsh appeared on a podcast with web3 thought and action. He spoke about how Push Protocol is shaping web3’s future. Listen now on Spotify.

Push DAO Lead, lan, appeared on a panel about Decentralized Social Media at Consensus 2024. The recording of this panel is now available for your viewing pleasure.

Governance Call - 19th June 2024

The weekly governance call is the premier push event for anyone interested in the DAO.

Here’s a summary of this week’s Governance call. We invite you to provide feedback in this same thread.

DAO Council Updates
The Push DAO council is currently working to improve the operations of the Push Ambassadors using the Push DAO v2 structure. Starting July 1st, there will be many operational changes.

The Push DAO council met with the Push India Ambassador Hub on June 14th to discuss the ambassador hub’s new operational aspects, and they met with Push Espanol and Push AfricaHub on Thursday, 20th, and Friday, 21st, respectively.

Push DAO has been working to improve its onboarding process for new members. This process will help them understand where and when everything happens. The proposal is now available for voting on a snapshot and will be active until Monday June 24th. Click here to vote now

Push Grants Program + BD subDAO
The Push Grants have seen an influx of new grant applicants, and we now have four grant applicants. Our first grant applicants have already completed the first stage, and the council will meet with them to finalize the grants.

The BD subDAO has been slow to gain contributors so far; the BD working group, however, is working to find partners for Push Protocol. So far, we have had conversations with the RARI Foundation and the Hats Protocol. We will also be meeting with the BD lead from the Push Foundation for further guidance.

We intend to hold two workshops next week, one for grants and one for business development. We will have someone from the thrive protocol at the grants workshop, and we hope to educate the community more about SubDAOs and how to participate successfully.

[Proposal] Push Ambassador Guidelines v1

This proposal aims to create a new framework and guidelines for Push ambassadors to ensure they are active and engaged in Push DAO and the broader Push ecosystem.

[Proposal] Diploma in Web3 and Blockchain programming

This proposal aims to improve learning by developing potentially safe, innovative, and efficient decentralized communication solutions for Web3 and Blockchain Diploma students that use the Push Protocol.

Push Channel of the Week

Community Highlights
We hosted a Demo Thursday on June 20th, where Hats Protocol, an Organisational Graph protocol, presented their protocol. David Ehrlichman the co-founder directed us through the demo.

The Push India ambassadors put together an amazing community thread. Multiple ambassadors created a video talking about Push and what they have learned throughout their time as ambassadors.

The Push Alpha Access Pass NFT is available for mint now. The winners were announced and will be able to mint their NFTs starting June 21, 2024

Governance Call - 10th July 2024

Anyone interested in being a part of Push DAO should regularly attend the weekly governance call, which is the main DAO event.

DAO Council Updates
This week, the DAO Council will finalise the new ambassador guidelines by reviewing the renewed proposal, sharing it with the ambassador hub leads, and finally sharing it on the forum for community feedback.

The new onboarding process has just gone live, and the post has been shared on the Push DAO blog as well as the X (formerly Twitter) account; more information will be shared on the forum. This onboarding process is a work in progress, so please bear with us.

This is the third month of the DAO Council’s operations. At the end of July, the community will receive a report on the DAO council’s performance thus far. Feel free to highlight anything you might want to see in this report.

Push Grants Program + BD subDAO
The Push Grants Program is going great. We recently met with our second successful grantee and hosted them for Demo Thursday on July 11th. We met with more grantees this week, and we will be reviewing new applications soon.

The BD Sub DAO is currently mostly operated by the BD Working Group. We were hoping to get more community members to apply, but so far, it’s been very slow. Our prospective partner, Hats Protocol, recently followed up with a post on the Push Forum. We have also initiated several conversations with apps on Avalanche.

Last week, we held a Business Development workshop with the Head of BD SubDAO. The workshop was mostly meant to educate new people as to how to approach Business Development for the first time. You can listen to a recorded version of this workshop here. We will follow up with a written version shortly.

Forum Outlook
[Discussion] Advancing PushDAO Progressive Decentralization & Council Development with Hats Protocol

This proposal aims to further Push Protocol’s goal of progressive decentralization by moving Push DAO on chain, beginning with the Push DAO Council and any other councils, committees, or roles that may arise.

Implementing Hats will increase transparency and legitimacy of Push DAO’s councils and roles by providing them with an onchain source of truth. Anyone will be able to see who is holding the role at a given time, along with the responsibilities, authorities, and eligibility criteria of the role.

Hats can help provide a credible pathway to decentralization for Push DAO by increasing the legitimacy of Push DAO as it continues on its journey of progressive decentralization.

Community Highlights
We hosted a Business Development Workshop on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces. The BD Working Group was joined by the Head of BD (Sarthak) at the Push Foundation. You can listen to a recorded version here.

On Thursday July 11, we hosted our second PGPv3 grantee ‘Dhive’ on discord. Dhive is a governance aggregation platform and an alumni of Push Channel of the Week.

The Push Protocol team is in Brussels for EthCC. If you are attending or know someone who is attending, be sure to say ‘Hi’ to the Push protocol team.

The Q&A space included a reminder and invitation regarding the India ambassador applications, which are currently open.

DAO Council Updates

Our new onboarding process is live, and we had our first onboarding call on Thursday, July 25th. The onboarding process introduced everyone to everything Push DAO, and it signifies the first step towards becoming an effective contributor. Also, do not forget the 300 $PUSH reward for the first 30 people who finish the process .

Awareness for Ambassadors, The Push DAO will be having their monthly meeting with all ambassador hubs this week. Please subscribe to the DAO Calendar to know when your hub’s meeting is.

We are looking for more contributors for different activities within Push DAO, and we will be sharing more opportunities on the Push Forum next week.

[PROPOSAL] Ambassador Guidelines v1

This proposal aims to create a new framework and guidelines for Push ambassadors to ensure they are active and engaged in Push DAO and the broader Push ecosystem. Key changes include a standardize reporting and task management system.

[PROPOSAL] Retroactive Contributor Compensation System

This proposal aims to create a transparent and accessible way for Push DAO contributors to receive rewards for completing tasks and activities for the DAO.

Contributors will use the KarmaGAP platform to update their contributions on chain.

A Push × Arbitrum AMA took place on Wednesday, July 24th (6 PM UTC) immediately after our governance call. The AMA was led by our DAO Lead, lan Leviness, and was joined by a panel from Log, Factor, and Inferium. Do well to listen to a recorded version of it if you missed out on this interesting session.

We held our first-ever onboarding call on Thursday, July 25th at 4 PM UTC to introduce Push DAO to new contributors. Remember, the first 30 people who complete the onboarding process will receive a reward of 300 PUSH tokens.

The DAO Council will be meeting with all ambassador hubs starting July 25. Please subscribe to the DAO calendar to find out when your hub’s meeting will take place.

Forum Outlook
[PROPOSAL] Pre-PIP #3: Cross Chain Request feature in Push Smart Contracts v3

Pre-PIP 3 is a proposal to implement the Cross Chain Requests feature in Push Protocol smart contracts (i.e., PushCore and PushComm). Once enabled, this feature will allow users to interact with the Push Core smart contract on the Ethereum chain from any EVM or Non-EVM chain of their choice ( without leaving their favourite chain).

How do I participate in Push Governance?

(Push Token voting)

• If you are more interested in active participation in Push Governance, then voting is for you. Push Token voting allows you to have a say in completed proposals that reach the snapshot voting stage.
• Our Push Governance Processes document explains how, why, and when we vote. The first step in the voting process is owning the PUSH governance token.
• You can acquire PUSH tokens on centralized exchanges (MEXC, Gate.io) and decentralized exchanges (CoW Swap, Uniswap).
• Once you hold PUSH tokens in your EVM wallet, you can activate PUSH voting power by delegating to yourself or someone else on the Push dApp.

To celebrate the great news about the Push Cross Chain Requests, we will be holding a contest for the best thread that summarizes Pre-PIP #3. There will be a reward of $100 for the three winners.

[PROPOSAL] Pre-PIP #3: Cross Chain Request feature in Push Smart Contracts v3

Pre-PIP 3 is a proposal to implement the Cross Chain Requests feature in Push Protocol smart contracts (i.e., PushCore and PushComm). Once enabled, this feature will allow users to interact with the Push Core smart contract on the Ethereum chain from any EVM or Non-EVM chain of their choice ( without leaving their favourite chain).

Recruiting Push DAO Designer

To ensure that Push DAO continues to scale and create high-quality promotional materials for marketing and events, the DAO Council is looking to recruit a designer to meet our growing needs. The Push DAO designer is a part-time role, assisting the DAO Council with creating images, graphics, and everything related for the various DAO events we hold and all marketing contexts.

In this week’s governance call, we received several DAO updates and other forum updates.

DAO Council Updates
The Push DAO has received an overwhelmingly positive response to the Push DAO Designer role, with 15 applicants so far. So the application was extended to Friday, 23rd August.

We also have a new opening that was just announced on the forum, this is a follow up to the Ambassador Guidelines v1 proposal. The role is for a Zealy Project Manager who will oversee ambassador task management for 3 months. This role however is reserved only for Ambassadors.

The Pre-PIP #3 Cross Chain Requests contest is currently live. The person who will create the best thread, article or video will be eligible to win up to $100 in PUSH Tokens. Only a few days to go so don’t forget to participate.

Recruiting | Project Manager for Zealy

We are looking for a Push ambassador to take on the role of Project Manager for Zealy. The Project Manager will oversee the identification of new bounties/tasks for ambassadors, coordinate and supervise the entire project and task lifecycle. They will collaborate closely with the DAO Council to drive the program forward and empower the leaders of each ambassador hub, helping them to overcome the learning curve of the system and to later manage it independently within their groups.

Push DAO received over 16 applicants for the Push DAO Designer role.

Congratulations to our 3 designer picks, Sofiverse, Emmanuel, and NooberBoy! They have already started their roles this Monday, and we will be working with them until October.

The Cold Start Problem is a nightmare for early Web3 DApps/projects, but it doesn’t have to be. Recently, our DAO Lead, Ian, penned and shared an article with helpful advice for builders dealing with cold starts.

Yesterday, right before our governance call, our DAO Lead also participated in an X Space panel discussion about practical approaches for structuring and implementing DAOs. You can listen to a recording of the space on X here.
