Governance call - November 20th, 2024
GM GM Push fam!
I would like to welcome everyone who attended Devcon last week; if you did not go like me, there will be another one next year, and we will definitely be there.
This week we had our weekly Governance call and we had a lot of interesting updates, here’s a recap in case you missed it
DAO Council Updates
Call for PUSH Delegates.
Five committed members of the community are being invited to apply for the Push Delegate Programme. These new delegates will help to make Push DAO governance more consistent and resilient. If you think you are a good fit for the new delegate programme, apply now.
Our Push India Devcon Scholars, NooberBoy and Anoy made a huge splash at Devcon SEA, and the ETH Global Hackathon, with their project ‘Union’ placing top 3 in 4 different hackathon tracks. Congratulations to them.
Push Points Program
The Push Points Program is currently ongoing and is aimed at giving back to the community and devs who have supported Push every step of the way and helped us reach greater heights.
By participating in the points program, you can directly contribute to our growth and empower the Push Protocol vision. There are new reward activities each week, and we encourage you to complete them all.
This week we have a new channel subscription activity, i.e subscribing to a specific Push Channel. All you need to do this week is subscribe to the BTC Price Tracker Channel.
Don’t miss out on the chance to earn Push Points, guys; make sure you earn as many as you can
Forum Outlook
Push Delegate Program: Call for Delegates
Following the ratification of Push Delegate Program: Epoch 1 by the DAO, we are making a call for delegates to be selected under the program. Under the Push Delegate Program, 50,000 PUSH will be delegated to five community members. These tokens will be vested using Hedgey Finance, allowing delegates to vote on Snapshot. The vested tokens will unlock at the end of the first year of Push DAO v2 (May 2025) if a delegate maintains an 85% participation rate in discussions and voting.
Loty - Grantee Report
Loty is a Mexican startup empowering businesses across Latin America to create high-tech loyalty programs through a simple monthly subscription. Loty is a multiple-time Push Grantee and maintains one of the most active Push channels on Push Protocol. Their latest grant was to build an Al notification engine that helps their customers create Tailor-made easy notifications and schedule them to be sent out automatically.
Pranshu Rastogi: Head of Ecosystem & Integration
Pranshu, who is the head of ecosystem and integration at the Push Foundation, made his formal introduction to Push DAO last week. We are super excited to welcome Pranshu to the Push DAO team and look forward to his contributions to the DAO.
October Report: Push Ambassadors
A few months ago, Push DAO passed a vote for new ambassador guidelines, with the mandate to begin using Zealy (a task management platform) for all activities. Part of this vote was hiring a project manager to organise and coordinate the migration to Zealy for all ambassadors. This is the first report by the Zealy Project Manager, highlighting KPls and key objectives of the new ambassador guidelines.
Ambassador Reports (October): Africa, Latam & India
These are monthly reports shared by ambassador hub leads on what their hubs have completed in the previous month. Reports for all 3 hubs are now available to read on the Push DAO forum.
